Disclaimer: The rental market in Australia is a bit cooked and some could say this kind of thing shouldn't be necessary just to access housing, one of the most basic needs. I firmly believe that your life circumstances (such as disability, studying, caring for a relative etc) shouldn't put you lower on the list when you're submitting rental applications and I've found that while it shouldn't be necessary, attaching a rental cover letter to help add context to why you may not have 2 full time incomes on your application can help... and that's why I've made this template!
