We know, it feels weird to have to write about yourself, especially if you're writing under a pen name. After all, we authors are generally suspected to be a reclusive crowd. Do we talk about our favorite tree to stare at while we try to find a way to fill a plot hole? Or should we talk about the hobbies that we avoided while we screamed into the void because characters weren't doing what we wanted them to?

Your readers want to know who you are beyond the pen and paper. Even if you write under a pen name, there's guaranteed to be something about you that your reader will connect with; they did pick up your book, right? Beyond this, your author bio is where you can optimize your connections to the reader through search engines. When written well, an author bio is going to find and secure readers who will stick with you long term.

What you get:

• 1 hour consultation with a personable consultant who will get to know you, and what you want your readers to know about your pen name persona or author image. During the interview, your consultant will get to know your background, your interests, and what will get readers excited about the person who is writing their favorite stories.

• A fully optimized author bio (250-500 words) that can be used in your author central, as well as in your book.

• Guidance on author photos that will work best alongside the author bio that we will be writing for you.

• 2 rewrites to correct and adjust any information that isn't up to personal taste.

• (Optional, at an additional fee) A custom created logo or author image, if you prefer not to use your own photo in your author bio. We also offer photo editing services, should you want a cleaner, better look to your current author image.

All work is included in the booking price, along with your consultation. This does not include the creation of a new author logo or image, or the editing work on a current author photo. If you would like to include one of these services, you will be invoiced separately after the consultation is completed. All pricing is in CAD.
