A spiritual gift or charism is an extraordinary power given by the Holy Spirit. These are supernatural graces that individual Christians need to fulfill the mission of the Church and are given to individual Christians for the good of others. Gifts are given equally to each one of us when we are born again. We are given these gifts in order to mature and begin to meet the needs in the body of Christ. It's so exciting the first time it happens. It brings you into the supernatural life. I'll be praying for you, but I really encourage you to be baptized in the Spirit, you will then release the gift of tongues.

I'd recommend reading the book, 'How to Find, Follow, and Fulfill God's Will for Your Life', by Andrew Wommack. God's will is for you to be in His Word. He will show you your purpose. You know God cares about your relationship with Him more than He cares about what you will do in life and your ministry. Your relationship with Him and spending time in His Word is what matters most. Everything will come from being in the Bible, which can be a struggle (sometimes), but the more you do it, the more you fall in love with it. "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17). I'm curious if you have been baptized/filled with the Holy Spirit or not because that is when supernatural gifts come. Now in terms of the gifts, I will go into more detail 😊

These include:

1. You need to be born of the Spirit

2. You need to be baptized of the Spirit

3. You need to operate in the power of the Spirit

Our new life (salvation) qualifies us to live the life of God on earth. After new birth, we need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Baptism in the Holy Spirit enables you to live that life on earth. Jesus Christ did not do any miracles until He was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

There are 9 manifestations mentioned in the Spiritual Gifts passage (1 Corinthians 12:8-10). Usually, we see one person operate predominantly in one gift, but we can be used by God in all nine gifts if the need arises and faith is exercised. The gifts are also without repentance.

• The Revelation Gifts: 1. Word of Wisdom 2. Word of Knowledge 3. The Discerning of Spirits

• The Power Gifts: 1. Faith 2. The Gift of Healing 3. Working of Miracles

• The Inspirational or Vocal Gifts: 1. Tongues 2. Interpretation of Tongues 3. Prophecy

Personally, I have operated in words of wisdom and knowledge for many people. The Holy Spirit tells me something I would never know any other way, to build faith in people's hearts. I also move in the prophetic. You can pray and ask God for gifts. Tongues is for everyone, and helps build up our faith. There are tons of scriptures I could attach to each gift for reference.

Sometimes not knowing our gifts could be for the following reasons:

• Sin

• Lack of involvement with the Body of Christ

• Imitating others

Talents are gifts of ability that came at our natural birth. Some people receive more than others. Talents are increased through use. We are to take these talents and use them to increase our worth in the body of Christ. (Matthew 26:14-19)

Gifts are given equally to each one of us when we are born again. Read Ephesians 4:8-15 and Romans 12:3-8. These are texts about the Gifts of the Spirit.

The secret to thriving as a successful person, a truth often overlooked, is not found in the relentless climb to the summit while silencing the whispers of the soul.
