Coach Shayain

Shayain is wonderful at breaking through the things that new golfers find intimidating, and helping build a confident foundation to get out and play. She is an excellent instructor, helping dissect parts of a swing and helping golfers focus on key pieces to get a feel for. This group session was a joy!

Hi!! Just want to share my experience with the excellent Fun and fundamentals golf program. I was just having fun doing minigolf and when looking for tips for the game I found coach Shayain tutorials on YouTube. She explained everything so well that I then get interested in golf. When she posted about the Fun and fundamentals program right away I enrolled in and was the best decision ever. I had never been to a golf course and in 6 weeks with the program I went to the driving range then to pitch and putt then to the golf course following coach Shayain instructions from the program. I learned a lot of things , I met new people and I had a very good experience during those 6 weeks. The program helps me a lot understanding the game and loving it. Coach Shayain is very helpful she explain everything well and has a very good interactive class. I really enjoy every lesson of the program. Now I'm a beginner golfer looking forward for more. Love it ❤️ Thanks coach Shayain!!

I attended a networking/beginner friendly event Shayain hosted in NYC. It was great! As a beginner, she helped me with learning to grip the club, basic swing movements, and best of all, helped me connect with another person who I now golf with regularly! Thanks Shayain!

I grew up on a golf course. My father and husband are avid golfers. I've never really gotten into the sport, and yet I have had so many opportunities to do so. I now have two boys and my husband is helping them with their game -- immediately I wanted to learn also! I ran into Coach Shayain, and wow! She is Heaven sent! For a rookie like me, she teaches in a way that makes sense and isn't forced. The lessons she provides are easy to pick up and difficult to forget. She knows her craft and I'm so happy I am learning from her. She truly is THE BEST! And yes, being a double minority is a plus in my book! Working with Coach Shayain is a win/win all around!

I’ve always thought golf was just a boring sport so I’ve never showed any interest in learning about it. I’ve done a few mini golf here and there but that’s about it. I was invited to be a volunteer at a fundraiser for St. Jude, how could I say no? This was important as it was for children’s cancer. After watching and interacting with some of the players, I was impressed and thought, ‘let me learn a little more about this’. I went on to YouTube and searched for beginners golf. Scrolled through quite a bit of coaches, individuals and everyone giving advises, there was so many but for some reason Coach Shayain stood out above the rest. For someone new to the sport like me, she just embodied what I needed to understand and stay interested in the sport. Her explanations were very thorough along with her examples of what she explained, she ensured that you got the full understanding of what she teaches you from every angle to ensure you did not miss anything. I especially love her GAAP (Grip, Aim & Alignment, Posture) amongst many other videos. Needless to say I watched all her videos, they were all a learning example that you can apply once you get to the golf course or even just to practice at the driving range. I decided to follow her on IG so as not to miss anything new that she would post regarding golf. To my surprise she posted that she would be at Five Iron in NY financial district for a ‘Fun & Fundamental Boot Camp’, there was no doubt that I would definitely attend. I wanted to meet her as well as learn a thing or two. I was a little nervous as I walked there but felt quite comfortable once I got there, the atmosphere was very welcoming, I also met a few people in the my line of work. I learned how to correctly hold the club as well as correcting my stance. Got quite a few good shots in and even won a Lululemon bag, it was a win-win for me. I’ve since gone to the driving range and practiced what I’ve learned taking a few friends with me and even showing them how to hold the club correctly as well as their posture. Don’t just take my word for it, watch a few videos and see how much you learn, you won’t be disappointed and if you ever get a chance to meet her, definitely try, you can thank me later.
