The Program Voice Guide for schools, camps, and mission-driven programs (with a prompt that teaches AI to sound like you)

Every school, camp, and mission-driven program already has a voice. You can hear it in a welcome letter to new families, in a head of school's remarks at convocation, and in the way an admissions director answers a parent's question on a tour. The Voice Primer helps you put that voice into words, so that everyone on your team, and every AI tool you use, can write in it.

I built it from the same process I used to write my own voice profile, and from years of helping independent schools, camps, and mission-driven organizations sound like themselves on social media.

What's Inside

In about an hour, you'll work through six short parts:

  • Find your voice by reading your own best writing closely

  • Get to know the two audiences reading your posts, including what keeps them up at night and what they're scrolling for at 10 pm

  • Set the words, guardrails, and privacy rules that keep your content accurate

  • See a full before-and-after example

  • Put your voice guide to work in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini

  • Run a quick checklist before anything goes live

What You'll Receive

The Voice Primer, a 14-page PDF workbook with lessons, worksheets, and examples

My Program Voice Guide, a fill-in template in Word format that also opens in Google Docs. Once it's complete, you can upload it to any AI tool, and the instructions the tool needs are already built in.

Who it's for

The person responsible for social media at an independent school, camp, auxiliary or summer program, or mission-driven organization, whether you're a team of one or leading a small communications office.
