Chair Yoga For Seriors

Chair Yoga offers a safe and gentle way to move your body.

Yoga is a holistic practice that nurtures your entire being. It benefits every part of you: your muscles, joints, connective tissues, internal organs, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, nervous system—and even your mind and spirit.

In each class, we’ll begin with simple breathing exercises. These help strengthen your lungs, calm your mind, and train your nervous system to shift from the “fight or flight” mode (sympathetic response) to the “rest and digest” state (parasympathetic response). From there, we’ll move through accessible poses designed to strengthen your muscles, support your connective tissues, and improve your joint mobility and range of motion.

This course includes five follow-along classes with plenty of modifications to suit a variety of bodies and abilities. The classes are recorded and they are for you to practice Yoga anytime anywhere. You can watch these classes as many times as you like, they are for you to keep.

About your instructor:

Nataliya has been practicing yoga since 2004 and completed her first Yoga Teacher Training in 2007. Over the years, she has pursued additional training and now focuses primarily on teaching Chair Yoga in senior homes in Victoria, BC.

Nataliya is passionate about making exercise accessible to everyone. She is dedicated to helping seniors make their golden years as joyful as possible by nurturing their bodies, minds, and spirits through the practice of yoga.
