You’ve been wanting to take your creative work seriously for a while now.
You have ideas, vision and talent.
In different phases in your life you've created consistently. Falling in love with your art everyday. But every time you try to take it to the next level, something pulls you back.
You quit. Let everyday life take over again. Convince yourself a creative career just isn't for you. Or maybe you just need a few months off to make it happen.
But that’s exactly where most creatives go wrong.
The longer you keep treating your creativity like something that can wait, the easier it becomes to never fully go for it. Meanwhile, you’re missing out on opportunities every month that could finally break you out of your 9-5 or side hustles.

I know this because I lived both sides of it.
I wrote for seven years without getting published. I was writing here and there, sometimes posting on social media or writing a blog, but I never took myself seriously.
Then I stopped waiting to feel ready and started showing up like an author, next to my 9–5.
Within five months, I signed a publishing deal.
Same with my content. Nothing really happened for ten years.
Then in half a year, I grew 15,000+ followers across platforms, built an engaged audience with my art, and started monetizing my work, without chasing trends or selling out.
The only thing that changed? My identity and what I believed I was worthy of.

It's not you...
Here's the deal. Most creatives never take themselves seriously, not because of lack of talent or discipline, but because of societal conditioning.
It's having heard your entire life that artists are broke. That you have to be lucky to make it as an artist. That pursuing a creative career is hard.
But you don't need to work harder. You need to learn to deal with all the triggers around fear of visibility, judgement and success.
It’s not your fault if you keep almost getting there.
It’s your conditioning that translates into your nervous system begging you to stop by making you tired, stressed and anxious.
But it’s not the art that’s making you tired.
Doubting your every move is.
Be seen for your art.
Most social media mentors will teach you to chase virality.
But I don’t want to make you an influencer.
I want to make you an artist.

Testimonial
"The session with Pepper was clarifying, motivating, and gave me a clear sense of direction. I had been feeling stuck for a while: what do I want to create? Can I really pursue my dream of writing books? Pepper encouraged me in a grounded and realistic way (meaning: build your foundation first, train your writing muscle, and then go all in) to actually go after that dream. You can make a living from your creations and build a career from it but first, lay the groundwork."

Frequently asked questions
I don't want to show my face or use Instagram/Tiktok, is this still for me?
Yes, although a personal brand is an incredible way to build an audience, there are also other roads to success and a full time income. Especially if you're a writer, you can for example still make it on Substack without ever showing your face.
How much time do I need before I can go fulltime?
That depends on your creative pursuit and ultimately how much time there is available in your life. I've seen people do it in six months, but also three years. Still, it will always be worth it, no matter how long it takes. Everyday that you don't start taking yourself seriously, is a month lost on your highest purpose. In a year from now you would've wished you started now. That said, what I will always teach you is to let go of timeframes and outcomes, because unconsciously that's part of what is keeping us stuck.
Isn't it very hard for creatives to make a living?
Starting and building the identity is the hardest part. But the limiting belief that only a few artists can make it? It's passed it's time in my opinion. We live in a digital age where artists are making 50k+ months from newsletters, on demand prints and social media. It has never been easier than today to make a full time living as a creative. The only one standing in between you and your creative career is your limiting beliefs on what's possible for you.

About Me
Hey love! I’m Pepper Maria, the happy single woman who travels the world with an overweight suitcase while voicing her opinions to the internet through writing. My main goal is to inspire people to decenter romantic love from their life and center love as a whole. Next to that, I am a creative mentor for those who are ready to do the inner work on their identity and strategise from a strong foundation to take their creative career from a dream to reality. After building a personal brand myself as a writer, landing a book deal and having 7+ years of marketing experience in multiple leading roles, I am passionate about teaching creatives everything I’ve learned so more people with real talent and big hearts can take up space ❤️
