Addictions are often confused with different types of behaviours that are displayed daily. Addictions can appear in many shapes and forms, but the following ones are the most common :

- Food Addiction -Binge eating or emotional eating
- Gambling
- Alcoholism
- Drugs
- Painkillers
- Work addiction
- Shopping
-Internet and video games
- Sex addiction
Since addictions offer us a certain level of gratification, we often consider them treats, rewards, or little guilty pleasures. We convince ourselves that they don't control us and that we can stop at any time if we want to.
But we tend to disregard the consequences those little rewards have on our physical, emotional and mental health.
