Hi, I'm Le'Siran, Founder of UK's 1st Black & Diverse Safeguarding Professionals Event

After 25+ years in safeguarding, I stepped back from the frontline and founded Social Work Coaching Hub, later creating BDSC to elevate racialised professionals and drive better outcomes for the communities we serve.

My mission? To build workplace cultures where wellbeing, belonging and equity are embedded, not optional.

The system is loud. So is your purpose.

    North Birmingham. Accessible by train station (15min walk from venue), public transport & car. Free parking available and venue is fully accessible.

  • Can allies attend?

    Yes! Allies are absolutely welcome. Come to learn, grow, and take your insights back to your workplace to improve practice, support your peers and positively influence your workplace culture.

  • Tickets

    All ticket sales are final!

  • Award Finalists:

    You can purchase more tickets for guests to attend with you. Tables of 8-10 available.

  • Food and refreshments

    A Caribbean caterer will be available on site all day serving lunch and refreshments that you can purchase. Bring your own lunch if preferred.

  • Dress code: Professional / smart dress. This is not a black-tie event. Many attendees choose to wear suits, dresses, smart separates, dressy casual outfits, sandals, flats or smart trainers for comfort throughout the day. Be photo-ready. Some attendees may wish to bring heels or dress shoes for photographs, this is completely optional.

  • **For health and safety reasons, the full venue address is shared directly with registered attendees rather than posted publicly online. As this event is attended by professionals across safeguarding, social work and public service, including police professionals, this additional precaution helps us manage the safety and wellbeing of everyone in attendance.

For Organisations

Organisations are welcome to book multiple tickets or reserve a table.

Each table seats approximately 8–10 people, and some organisations are choosing to attend as a group so their teams can learn, connect and celebrate together.

This is a valuable opportunity to invest in staff development, belonging, visibility and professional wellbeing while connecting with other organisations committed to equity and safer practice.
