The Hillman Scholars Collective

Where Black college students get the advising, clarity, and support they deserve.

A membership community where Black undergraduate students get real advising, academic clarity, and support for staying on track from semester to graduation.

For Black undergraduate students — whether at an HBCU or a PWI — and parents who support them.

Your campus academic advisor is overworked. You still have questions. This community makes sure you never fall through the cracks.

I'm Miss Bee.

Tiffany E. Brockington — Miss Bee — is your local, friendly neighborhood Higher Education Practitioner. She’s the advisor students find when they need someone who is honest, no-nonsense, and committed to helping them actually understand how college works.

Miss Bee has spent the last seven years advising thousands of Black students. If you’ve dealt with SAP, confusing audits, registration mess, major changes, holds you didn’t expect, or professors who “forgot” to respond — she’s seen it, fixed it, and walked students through it.

Her work centers Black students because she knows the truth:
Whether you’re at an HBCU or a PWI, the systems weren’t built for you — and trying to navigate them without guidance is exhausting.

Students trust Miss Bee because she breaks things down clearly, respects your time, and gives you the strategy you need without sugarcoating anything. Her approach is simple: clarity, truth, culture, and real support.

The Hillman Scholars Collective gives you the kind of advising most students only get when they’re lucky enough to find that one practitioner on campus — the one who genuinely wants to see you graduate.

Why I Created the Hillman Scholars Collective

I built this community because too many Black students feel lost, stressed, or alone while trying to navigate college — and they shouldn’t have to be.

At HBCUs, the love is strong but the advising offices are overwhelmed.
At PWIs, the resources exist but the cultural understanding often doesn’t.

Either way?
Black students are left figuring out systems that weren’t designed with them in mind.

After advising thousands of students, I’ve seen how much clarity, guidance, and cultural honesty can change someone’s whole semester. The Hillman Scholars Collective exists so you don’t have to navigate college by yourself. You deserve real answers, real strategy, and real support — every step of the way.
