
When Pensight was founded, we operated through Pensight Ltd on a UK-based Stripe platform. We are now moving our payments infrastructure to Pensight Inc on a US-based Stripe platform.
If you see a message in your Wallet page or receive an email from us about the migration, please complete the migration within 30 days.
💡If you fail to migrate within 30 days of receiving an email from us - payments from your clients may start failing.
In order to migrate, please go to the Wallet page and follow the migration instructions there.
If you don’t see migration instructions on the Wallet page that means your account is not yet eligible for the migration — we’ll email you when it becomes ready.
💡If you use the same email address as your original Stripe account, Stripe will copy over your business details automatically.
When you follow the instructions on the Pensight Wallet page, you’ll be asked to connect a new Stripe account to Pensight Inc, our US entity. This account will be separate from your previous one (separate balance, payments, and payouts). If you use the same email address as your original Stripe account, Stripe may copy over some of your business details automatically.
It should not take more than 5 minutes to connect a new Stripe account.
You’ll still be able to access your old account from the Wallet page for some time.
It will keep a separate balance and may still occasionally receive payments from your existing clients with subscriptions or payment plans but all new clients will pay into your new Stripe account.
Please still keep your old Stripe account in good-standing (e.g. respond to all Stripe requests) unless you are certain you will have no existing clients still paying into your old Stripe account.
Payments from your existing and new clients may stop working without further notice.
Yes. All Stripe accounts, regardless of their country, have to be migrated to our Stripe US platform. If, for example, you are based in Canada then you would connect a new Canadian Stripe account to our US Stripe platform. Your Stripe account country does not have to match our Stripe platform country (unless you are based in the US).
Your clients will not need to do anything. You may see subscriptions and/or payment plan payments being gradually switched over to your new Stripe account.
